Joseph Hurtado

Joseph has over 20 years of experience leading technology teams to deliver software and solutions for large Fortune 500 companies in the US and Canada, as well as Silicon Valley startups across finance, technology, healthcare, pharma and blockchain.
He is a software engineer, architect, agile coach and cybersecurity professional, and the founder of Granata Consulting. A strong business background lets him speak and understand what the customer actually wants.
He brings a wealth of experience across the whole product and software development life cycle — not only as an advisor, but as the lead architect and agile manager of software solutions for US customers on both coasts.
On AI, he has mastered a variety of tools for AI-accelerated software development including Claude Code, Google's Gemini CLI and OpenAI's Codex. On blockchain, he has built Bitcoin software and high-speed transaction smart contracts, with experience on Ethereum, Solana and ICP.

He has worked with global fintechs, banks, retailers, telecommunications companies and technology organizations across Latin America and internationally, partnering directly with C-level executives, product leaders and business heads.
Mario focuses on pragmatic value creation through generative AI, digital strategy and product discovery, while keeping business objectives, technology and operating models aligned. That approach combines AI-assisted analysis with proven agile and lean practices such as OKRs, Scrum, SAFe, Kanban and Lean Portfolio Management.
